Outdoor Activities to Enjoy the Calm Florida Weather

Even with the lower temperatures, you still want to keep yourself hydrated and shaded from sun exposure when you plan for an extended day out on a sun-bright Florida day. Whether you take a stroll around our 33-acre grounds or you venture away to enjoy the beauty all around Venice, there are places to walk for an enjoyable outdoor excursion.

1. Walking: The Best Way to Stay Active and Healthy

If you are fascinated with architectural design, Venezia Park is one of the historic walking areas with beautiful homes built in the 1920s, displaying the rich Mediterranean Revival style. While you're strolling through an old Florida neighborhood, it's a delightful place to sit under shaded trees and enjoy all the amenities this charming Venice community has to offer.

2.  Fishing: It's Always an Exciting Adventure

Whether you're an avid angler or you are ready to test your skill, Venice Fishing Pier is a fun place to get in on the excitement of reeling in the attention-grabbing catch of the day. Since its first construction in 1966, the pier today is one of our city's best fishing spots. If you're not into fishing, you can sit and enjoy its excellent Gulf Coast views.

3. Venice Beaches: Some of the Best to Play or Relax All Day

Part of living along the Florida coast are all the beaches we have, and Venice is home to some of the beautiful beaches in the state. Head out with your coffee to enjoy the cool breeze of an autumn morning for a pleasant walk. Or pack a picnic lunch, and be a part of all the beach activities, and there is plenty to keep you busy: "swimming, paddle boarding, snorkeling, or looking for fossilized shark teeth." Under a beach umbrella or canopy, it is the perfect spot for reading a page-turning novel or simply taking a relaxing nap.
